Procurement Specialist – مسؤول مشتريات

Position Summary

Procurement specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process within the company that involves sourcing and purchasing goods and services necessary for the company’s operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery in addition to evaluating vendors and negotiating contracts.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Receiving, verifying, and evaluating purchase requests and price quotations to ensure compliance with regulations and instructions, and following up on their                      conversion into purchase orders.
  • Searching for suppliers and conducting efficient negotiation and purchasing processes regarding price, quality, delivery schedules, payment terms, and services.
  • Executing procurement procedures and processes in accordance with approved purchase requests and specified requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Monitoring supplies with suppliers, adhering to delivery schedules, monitoring receipt of received materials, and following up on the closure of open purchase orders        and resolving related issues with other departments.
  • Assessing and developing suppliers, resolving supplier issues with the direct supervisor.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of goods.
  • Assisting in establishing and updating criteria and standards for selecting suppliers and service providers.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
  • Adhering to company policies in all internal and external transactions.
  • Gathering market information about handled products and discussing it with the manager.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders in a regular manner
  • Preparing monthly reports on the status of purchase requests and purchase orders.
  • Performing any other tasks within the general scope of the job when assigned.

Required skills (Education, experience, languages, and abilities)

  • Education: BSc in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field.
  • Experiences: 2 years of relevant progressively experience in a similar role.
  • Languages: Arabic: Mother tongue or fluent, Turkish: Fluent, English: Good.
  • Other abilities:
    • Excellent communication skills and has a positive attitude.
    • Good knowledge of public or private procurement or contract management programs.
    • Ability to deal with dealers and suppliers in a diplomatic manner.
    • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
    • Ability to work with diverse people, communities, and cultures.
    • People management skills that include diplomacy.
    • Ability to take initiative and work without supervision.
