Accountant Assistant

Position Summary

Accounts assistant supplies administrative support to general accountant by performing clerical tasks such as filing, handling mail, making phone calls, replying to emails and basic bookkeeping.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.
  • Preparing statutory accounts.
  • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct.
  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Recording and filing cash transactions.
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
  • Invoice processing and filing.
  • Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
  • Maintain company’s stock inventories to meet business requirements
  • Maintain purchase and pricing reports, replenish stock levels, and oversee shipments and internal stock transfers.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of 2P’s quality of work.

Skills and Qualities we look for:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or any other related field.

 

Experiences:

  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting field
  • Knowledge of computer-based accounting systems (ex: QuickBooks)
  • Knowledge in General Accounting Principles with Turkish Tax Regulations.
  • Knowledge/understanding of reporting requirements for corporates or experience in delivering financial reports
  • High standards of confidentiality, reliability and discretion.
  • Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to details.

  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

 

Languages:

English and Arabic are must, Turkish will be considered as an advantage.
